Teaching kids to crochet

I finally taught my two elder kids to crochet. They have been asking me for it, but I kept telling them to practice more in knitting first. My daughter really enjoys crocheting, or any handwork. She has learned the basic stitches and now she is making a face towel for her dad. My youngest son also wanted to crochet, but I think he is too young for that, I taught him finger knitting instead. Yarn scraps are everywhere in my house now... Are you working on any handwork projects now? Image: My daughter's crochet piece

Your daughter crochets nicely. I much prefer crochet to knitting.

Thanks. Me too, I used to like knitting until I learned how to crochet. I enjoy crocheting toys for my kids.

That is good for your daughter and son. I wish I could learn crochet. My mom is good at it and she crocheted some nice stuffed toys and that's so wonderful.

That's great they took an interest to crocheting!! Currently I don't have that kind of project going . . . the projects are based on outside work in the yard .

Very nice. I use to crochet thinking about getting back into it. I want to get some of that loop yarn and make a baby blanket for my grandson.

I haven't crocheted since we moved a year ago. I've got a bedspread about half done.
