Happy Birthday to my Cuz Ree, it seems like almost yesterday that we were kids, and your Mom was sticking my face in the cake batter, don’t worry she had another batter for the cake we were going to eat lol!! Even if we weren’t cousins, I would look to Aretha as a friend. (Yes, my Uncle named her after Aretha Franklin) Shes kind, compassionate and would do anything for family. There are times we argue, fight like sisters, but when it comes down to it she has my back, and I hope she knows I have hers. We are only a few months apart, so we grew up together, when my Uncle bought her prom dress, he made sure I wore it too, we went to different schools, but I loved that dress, and was honored to wear it.
