I got a water dog / myLot

After a romp with the neighbors in dusty hot weather I put him in the tub of water, I think he likes it

Yep, he likes water.

He doesn't like the hose very much but when I put him in the tub he didn't try to get out, I think he'd gotten pretty hot running the fence with the neighbors.

I'm so glad I adopted him, he's a handful but I think that's what I needed.

He's 15 weeks old so yeah, he'll double his size at the very least.

From what the Humane Society told me he's a terrier german shepherd mix .... I wouldn't doubt he has more than 2 breeds in his lineage.

I used to have pups that loved those kiddy pools but they inevitably would deteriorate as the sun dried out the edges.

@rebelann we have one of those kiddie pools in the back yard. In the summer we fill it and empty it many times. our labs lay in the pool!

Hopefully he won't get too big but we'll see. His whiskers give me the impression he might be mixed Airedale but who knows. I'm trying to find a face that looks similar to his.

He was. I had to take him out of the tub or he might have stayed there longer. I think I'll get him a kiddy pool for summer.

I plan to take him to a place called Spa for Paws so they can give him a thorough bathing and brush his teeth. I'm not qualified to do it properly.

I got him on April 9, he was 13 weeks old at the time. I have 2 cats and this pup. He's very smart and the training is going well, he just needs more time to learn not to pee in the house. It's all good cuz I have lots to learn too.

Why not put some toy ducks in the bucket so that your dog will have more fun?

I will wait until he is older to do that, he will be 16 weeks old in a couple of days which makes me feel he still needs to grow up a little before I start giving him floating toys but I will do that when the time comes ...... thanks for the idea.
