I've had this same number for almost 5 years, and now it just stopped working.
I have tons of account linked to this number, it's such a hassle to change all of them, and some aren't easily changeable too, like bank contact details.
I hope i can still fix this.

Now a days all our important stuff are linked to our phone numbers. Why you need to change the number? You can replace the SIM card with one from same provider and same phone number. Isn't it??

Absolutely! One can have it replaced while retaining the number.

@pitsipeahie That's what I did. Changing numbers will be a lot of trouble.

I think you can request for the same number but you have to pay little. I`m not so sure if that kind of service is available in your place

Go to your service provider and see if they can give you a new sim card with the same old number that you have. I was able to do that twice.

@lady1993 they have for both pre-paid and post-paid sims. You just have to ask and check.

I don't really think it's a problem. You can request a replacement of your old sim and at the same time retain your number. Visit your carrier/network operator for further details about such a service or contact support to inquire.

It's possible to renew your old SIM card. But you will end up loosing all your phone contacts that you saved
