When it comes to songs starting with the letter E it is not easy for me to choose. I guess I never thought much about these songs but I can tell you that I have chosen some and the firsst one had to be "Eleanor" by The Turtles. The reason is simply that when at the end of the 190s I took my husband Martin to the US for the first time we had rented a car we drove around in and the first song that came on the radio that summer was this one. The song was recorded by The Turtles in 1968 and was actually written as a satire of their biggest hit "Happy Together." Despite that the song became quite popular and charted in both the US and the UK as well as Canada, Australia, and New Zealand,
