In 1963 Peggy March 15 years old was at number on on the US singles chart with "I Will Follow Him." She became the youngest female singer to have a US number one record, In 1967 Sandie Shaw was at number one on the UK singles chart with "Puppet On a String" She was the Eurovision Song Contest winner that year, In 2003 Madonna was at number one on the UK album chart with American Life It was her eighth number one album. The album reached number one in the US also. In 2008 The Last Shadow Puppets were at number one on the Uk album char with The Age of Understatement

Little Peggie had quite a hit with I Will Follow Him. She holds the record for being the youngest female singer to have a #1 hit all over the world. This song not only reached #1 in the US, but also in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Scandinavia.
