Happy 30

Good Afternoon Everyone! This morning I did not want to crawl out of bed and go on my walk. So, of course I did! Some teenager was considerate (Sarcasm here) to use his little vape pen right when I was about to pass him. It blew into my face. UGH! But that was a momentary irritant, forgotten almost as soon as I passed him by. I've made 9.2k steps so far today, and am currently in a competition with a friend to see how many steps we can get today. I absolutely needed this, and I think she did too. Neither of us were feeling terribly motivated. It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood (To those who get the reference, you're welcome!). It's cheat day for me today. Well, the only real cheat is the chips, tzaziki and ranch that I use. Everything else is healthy. It's Friday. Is that a Fri-YAY for you, or a FRI-MEH? for you?

You mean you counted your steps to over 9000? I would get bored if I counted to 30

@ShyBear88 Ah, that's awesome. I'm not quite sure what our schools are doing. Sometimes I see a bus in my neighborhood picking kids up and sometimes I don't.

Well that is awesome! A friend's niece is in private school so they have no school, but regular (public) does have school on Fridays at the moment.

I'm having some problems today. I was sick last night and have been dizzy all day today. I checked my blood pressure and it is good for me. 137/68 We don't know why I'm dizzy. I did go out and move our car because it's finally dry enough to mow. Pretty already finished mowing now. I set more plants out to go into the ground as soon as I feel able to get the new flower bed ready.

Hmm, strange. Dizziness is your only symptom? Too much time in front of the screen?

Friday is Fri-Yay for me as well. It’s been a while I haven’t complete my daily steps. I’d say over a year or more. Guilty. I lose motivation very quickly since I’ve no friends and with time I feel lonely

I spent a little over a year with no walking activity either. I finally had to decide that I had to get out there. I am not sure what i will do when it gets too cold, but I will have to remain active.

@ScribbledAdNauseum That is good. I did 2 yesterday and it was tiring. I could do more but then I would sit on my butt for sure the whole rest of the day.

@snowy22315 Yesterday I got up every hour for 8 hours and walked the 250 steps my fitbit recommends. That's probably the best way to get steps in to be honest, and probably what I will resort to when it's far too hot or rainy.

I think it was somewhere around 7 miles give or take. The friend ended up having a day at work where she was able to sit down more. Otherwise I don't think I'd have won. She easily gets 15,000+ steps in a day because of work. Right now i'm sititng at 8,700 steps and 3.9 miles.

They really can be. I don't know what the guys age was, but I felt like he was between 16-22.

I feel like I'm a "macho" Mr. Rogers. I use his strategies, but I present as a working-class ex-athlete.

I'm not sure I can wrap my mind around working class ex athlete. Maybe it's too early or I've had one less coffee than needed.

We're trying to get our other friend to get back into the grind of things. Hoping her coming appointments will be, if not good news, then not bad news. We want to hike one of these days in the mountains.
