Because I cannot complain about my bank being frozen, I will write about my hike today.

A buddy and I took a nice hike along the shore of the San Francisco Bay today. It's a place where a lot of concrete was dumped from dismantled projects in the Bay Area. You have to "dance" over the remnants of old buildings, including re-bar that likes to grab at ankles. I have done at least one face plant there. The cool thing is that local artists go out there and create sculptures and other art works out of whatever is available. Some simply paint the old concrete cubes with whatever interests them. I added some branches to a sculpture today. It's all "fluid." What struck me most today was not the art, but the beautiful flowers that were everywhere. I left my camera at home, but I'll attach a newer photo of the flowers if my friend sends it to me. I'll attach an older photo of one of the sculptures out there for now. Do you enjoy hiking?

No. That’s why I keep hiking boots in my car.

Why don't you just put them on before you leave the house?

Sounds like a beautiful and interesting area. I haven't been hiking in a long time. But I always enjoyed it.

Even a walk around the block can be a hike if you ignore the cars and people and listen to the squirrels, birds and other wildlife.

But I sometimes miss cycling in the cornfields of Iowa. There is beauty everywhere.

It depends on where I am hiking. Your area intrigues me.

There are some nice hikes here. But I enjoy hikes in Glacier Park Montana the most.

I do too. I'm a decent musician but NOT a visual artist. I just take it all in and enjoy. When I can contribute a stick here and there, it's a plus.

@TheHorse i am more of a poet, so for me the visual creation process is baffling.

@DocAndersen But it can aslo be inspiring. Turning the visual into the written word is a skill. If I say to you. "I watched a squirrel burying nuts, oblivious to my presence," that's as good as picture.

I always enjoy hikes. Sometimes I like to just stop and sit, taking in what's around me.

Nope. I'll stay indoors thanks. I like hearing others' stories though. That is kinda fun.

When you're out hiking, you encounter very few people. And here, all are masked.

Is your Bank still frozen? Why don't you send a PM to Admin as soon as you notice the problem? (This also would help the others that are not yet online). I have always enjoyed hiking, since I was very young, I went with my Dad, Mom and my brother never liked.

@TheHorse The bank not always self correct it already happened twice the Bugs had to do fix the problem. I prefer to let Admin know when I notice that there is a problem. My brother has always been extremely lazy, Mom loved to walk but not hiking.

Eh, it (the bank) always self-forrects. It's not really an issue. I just wanted to see if I could get away with a brief "kvetch." My early childhood memories include hiking with my dad in some of the same hills I hike in now. My brother and mom were less interested. I feel really calm when I find a spot and just sit.

Oh, wow! It looks like you've gotten quite a bit of sun lately, pony. Your skin has gotten quite dark.

I really do love the sun. Actually, that sculpture is aimed to the Southwest, so at noonish, she is facing the sun. We call her the sun goddess.

When I can no longer hike, I hope there will be "younguns" who tell me about their exploits with sincere enthusiasm, not just to "please the old man."
