I almost forgot...

Photo I took of the jade plant on the front porch.

A few months ago--actually, last year some time, I think, one of my co-workers had come over to help me with something or some such, and she commented on how she liked the jade plant that's been on the front porch for about 45 years (to the best of my recollection). I told her that if she wanted it, she was welcome to it, since I knew I would be moving in the then future. She told me she hasn't been by to get it because she's been looking for another container for it. While I was washing dishes it struck me that she'd better come get it, or my brother would be likely to throw it out, since I'm not taking it with me. I dried of my hands and called her, and she said she would come by and get it after work, container that it's in and all. Since that thing's so old, I hope the container doesn't fall apart. So, that's a couple of chores done. I washed the dishes because I also wanted to wash my bathroom sink set. I came in here, and realized that I needed to purchase something for Angel, so I went to Chewy.com and did that. Got an email about my credit card balance, so paid off that. I'm thinking most of the amount was from buying things for the new apartment. Now, I need to get back to clearing stuff out of the bathroom. Hope all is well with you in your part of myLot land !

I'm sure she will. my brother is coming by today, so I can tell him--though I don't think he's even thought of this plant.

@xstitcher Oh ok. It is nice to give it away to a person who will take good care of it

That sounds like a lot of fun. I hope the container holds, too. At least Jay won't have to throw it out.

So you're not superstitious? "According to Feng Shui lore, plants with rounded leaves are sure to bring good fortune and the jade plant is no exception. Jade is a traditional gift given to new business owners and, when placed near the entrance, is thought to bring prosperity and success." It's 45 years old? It's a part of the family! and you're giving it away? I'd at least take a cutting to put in your new place.
