I believe that's Heather's way of hinting for you to show up and choose one to take home with you.

@DaddyEvil I am not a cat person really so even if we are living near each other, I will not accept pets with fur (except for the bunnies I have since they are all outside)

Nope, they are springing up from the carpet, under the bed.

This is a little black one. There does not seem to be any runt of the litter, all are a nice size and seem healthy.

@CarolDM I put food in the room so they have a chance of learning about it. I also put a shallow box with kitty litter.

Yes, the mama hid them well but at a month old they are beginning to be curious about life in general as well as about cat food.

If not, there is a no-kill shelter that will take them.

Hmm... did you check to make sure your screen door is shut? Maybe that will keep new ones from wandering in for you to feed?

Yep, screen door is shut. There are a few in the neighborhood who would like to be fed.

@DaddyEvil No, the therapy dog would not like that.

@GardenGerty All cats, even if they've just eaten, like to be fed. So... are you going to try taking them to work and get the kids to talk to their parents about adopting them?

I am surprised there were this many. The mama is a small cat. Around 7 lbs when not pregnant.
