This Trip Has Been A Total Nightmare

If I had not mentioned it, I am traveling on business this week. This time, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Iowa.
When I set up my hotels, I always ask for the second floor. Night one, 1st floor. I told the guy several times second floor, but still wound up on the 1st floor.
Not terribly bad, I was facing the street, not the parking lot.
Later that night, somewhere along the line a screw came loose on my glasses and my lens popped out. I was able to "hold" the lens in, but it is not ideal. There was a vision center down the street from where I stayed, but they opened at 10am and I was on the road at 7am.
Dealt with the glasses issue all day.
Got to my hotel in Mauston and they put me on the first floor there as well. AND the window is sealed shut. More on that if you ask.
Went to Walgreens and got an eyeglass repair kit, but I can't see anything so I can't repair anything.
Did I mention I forgot my mouse? So doing stuff on the Internet is a chore as well.
I am NOT having a good time. How is your day going?

My day was okay. I made myself do a couple of errands this evening.

When you said you forgot your mouse before I read on further I had an image in my head of the little mouse crawling looking for cheese.
Looks like things aren't going your way. I wonder why they put you on the first floor when you requested to be put on the second floor. And why is the first floor not ok for you?
I hope you were able to get your glasses fixed.

@porwest That's a relief that you fixed your glasses.
Some people actually eat mice. Or rats. I've seen it on survival shows. And I think in Louisiana they eat rat stew from what I remember seeing on Uncharted with Gordon Ramsay.

@lovebuglena I know there are people who do. I hope they have no intention of sharing any of it with me. lol

lol. No real mice for me, thank you very much.
As for why they put me on the 1st floor, I guess it is too much to ask that staff recognize not only that I am a diamond member of their hotels, but to actually make sure I did not make any special requests when I made my reservation.
I did finally get my glasses fixed. Went to Walmart and they fixed me up, no charge.

When it rains it pours. You smoke, right? The window is sealed so you can't open it? Did you get your glasses repaired? I hope so. My day is quiet and uneventful. Have a better day today.

@LindaOHio I was actually a bit surprised. I didn't even buy the glasses there. Of course I did not tell THEM that. lol

Well, vape. But yes, that was my reason for my irritation about the window. Didn't stop me though. Just ran the fan in the bathroom and vaped in there.
Did finally get my glasses fixed Thursday. Went to Walmart and they fixed me up and didn't charge me anything for it, so that was a plus.
Glad you had much better days.

I literally have six pairs of glasses exactly for the reason you just mentioned with your pair. I had a screw pop out of one pair, and although I found the screw, I could not see to put it back in. So I keep lots of extra glasses around.

That happened to me once. I once had to go to my mother's eye doctor and got my eyeglasses repaired for no cost.
