How I got sidetracked... / myLot

I was writing my previous post, when my friend from church came over to help me with clearing out the kitchen. We cleaned out drawers and cupboards and boxed up a lot of things. I guess I never thought about it, but somehow I had three sets of plates.

I'm thinking Mom and Grandma had something to do with that, but anyway I'm only taking one to the apartment.

I'm tired, but not completely worn out like yesterday. My friend is an older lady, so we went at a much more relaxed pace.

She brought dinner with her--some alfredo pasta and garlic bread and salad and these little cheese bread things. It was all really good, and she left the leftovers with me.

So, between going out and donating those dog bowls and coming home and doing what I was able to do myself and then working with my friend, it was a productive day!

So glad, things coming along. Moving is hard work. There were 3 generations in my family under 1 roof at 1 time, we all had our dishes.

Thank you, @oahuwriter ! I haven't moved anywhere since 1974, and didn't have much to do with the whole process then. This is all new to me.

@xstitcher Understood. I found most helpful, labeling boxes what's in it and what room to move it to fit your new home.

We had a table almost exactly like that (minus the dust on the feet) when I was a teenager. My next sister has it now. We had different chairs, though.
