I have coffee occasionally. Yes, having it in excess or having it on empty stomach gives acidity and reflux to many people.

@Tenshidc We all have different body and our body reacts differently. Many tolerate it on empty stomach but I have heard that tea or coffee should be avoided on empty stomach as it can cause acidity immediately or in long run. Better to have it with few cookies or small snacks if you want to drink it before breakfast.

Dude, I can tell you, I drink a lot, a lot of coffee, but this reflux and heartburn thing has happened to me eventually. I would dare to say that there are opportunities in which my body does not tolerate coffee and it produces these symptoms. I really don't know if it is a specific reaction of the body under certain conditions, or is it that coffee itself produces it.

@Tenshidc Perfect, I assure you that I have not read about it, since what I feel is temporary. It doesn't always happen to me. But it must be as you say.

I've never had it with coffee, but I rarely drink it. I'll occasionally drink it. Sometimes when I drink too much orange juice, it happens. If I stop drinking it for a while and try again, I'm fine.

helo, yes some people face the problem , i never did though. One of my near ones faced the problem the doctors said it may be a heart problem bla bla but later discovered due to acidity . we should be careful at what time we are have tea or coffee not good to take on empty stomach ..anyways take care

No I don't have any problem with drinking coffee and I drink coffee everyday. I suggest you should go for medical check-up. Have a nice day my friend
