Good Morning 5/8 When dreams meet reality / myLot

Did you ever realize in a dream it was a dream? I had that happen to me not once but twice last night. I sort of semi purposefully woke myself up, because I heard someone saying "help" in the dream. I thought that is not real..and woke up. I was listening..it was not. Also, although I have forgotten the circumstances, I woke up another time realizing it was not real too. I think I was walking to get my car which was in a traffic jam. In real life, I wouldn't have left my car of course..unless it was some mega jam that was going to go on for hours. Have you ever realized a dream was not real while you were still in it?

A strange dream. I mostly have bad dreams, nightmares and often and when I wake up, it takes me a few seconds to realize it was a dream.

I was dreaming of our son and how much I missed him years ago when he was away at university. I went to bed early that night, and he came home to surprise me. He was standing at the foot of the bed and I felt him rub the blankets near my feet and say I heard that someone here was missing me. I remember saying no, no, please do not wake me I am having the best dream of Jonathon. When I finally came out of the fog and saw Jonathon standing there I was so happy I was almost crying.

Interesting that it happened twice in one night. I am sure I have had similar experiences but can't think of any right now.

Somehow your waking conscious gets in there and tells you it is a dream. I mean dreams happen during your REM sleep anyway, which is the lightest so it kind of stands to reason it could happen.
