Do you have a toaster oven?

I have one, but I rarely use it. I will use it sometimes to make things like garlic bread in the summer so I don't have to heat up the oven. I am probably going to use it today to toast some coconut. It is one of those things nice to have, but certainly not essential especially if you have a toaster.

In my relatives home there is at least one toaster that is used to toast bread and other foods.

I had to think about this for a second. We have a convection oven that can do toaster oven stuff, but we never use it.
We have a toaster we never use either.
We don't do a lot of bread in this household.

I use it most in the summer I find. It was great yesterday for toasting half a cup of coconut.

Thank you Happy Mother's Day to you too. I talked to my son on Friday, so not sure whether I will hear from him today or not. I would guess not. Since he wished me a Happy Early Mother's Day on Friday, he probably thinks he has fulfilled his responsibilty..

I like to save energy and heat by using the toaster oven..it heats almost immediately and doesn't make the whole kitchen hot.

@snowy22315 I have used them all of my life. With a broiler, if you are toasting bread it only takes a couple of minutes to brown.

I do but I dont use it..my son was using it for a long time to melt cheese and stuff but not anymore as he is now diabetic

I find it is good for certain specific things..and here like I said, I don't use the oven often in the summer so if I have something small that can't be microwaved, I will pop it in there.

I find it marginally useful..it is good for something like making croutons too.
