Only a Few Episodes In, and Mayim Bialik has Already Convinced Me that Most Sitcoms are 'Ungrateful Guests'

It's just one simple habit that differentiates Mayim Bialik's "Call Me Kat": at the end of every episode, the whole cast comes out and waves goodbye to its loving audience.
And now--in my mind, at least--every television-sitcom that doesn't 'wave goodbye' "must not care about its audience!"
No?

Absolutely not! I love sitcoms like One Foot In the Grave, Keeping up Appearances, Open All Hours, Mind Your Language, Only When I Laugh, Only Fools and Horses and Dad's Army. They are all exceptional sitcoms and of course they care about their audience but none of them wave goodbye to their audiences!

I thought so too ... at first ...
Or maybe it's Mayim's constant 'conversing with us during the show' (like Dora the Explorer for grown-ups).
Or maybe it's the puppy-love crush I've had on her since "Blossom"

@mythociate When they do that it's called 'breaking the fourth wall'.

@sharonelton Yeah; but with Mayim's show, it's like there never WAS a Fourth Wall! Like the entire audience gathered together to watch the cast tell a story!
