Darker than the night

At least right now, this very dark plum iris is darker than the night. It is almost 8 pm.
I was awake at 3:30 this morning. Immediately after work I went and donated "power red" which is to say I donated double units of red blood cells by apharesis.
That process separates out the red blood cells then returns all other blood components to your body plus some saline to return to normal volume.
Hubby then fed me a steak and cheese sub sandwich from Subway and we came home.
I fed and watered the cats and kittens and scooped the litter tray. I am ready to go to bed.
I was given this beautiful dark plum iris by my friend Mary Ann.
