Many of you know about our grandson Nathan, how he was a premie (2 1/2 pounds), his mama died when he was almost two, and how we helped our son raise him until he was nine.
Our daughter Tammy and Nathan have always been close; she's more like his mama than his aunt.
When he was about four, he told me, "Daddy's getting a girlfriend. I hope it's Aunt Tammy."
Nathan will be 18 the end of this month and they're still close.

He and his dad are going to Charleston SC to celebrate with our daughter and her family and go jet skiing. We'll have a cake and gifts when he gets back.

He really is a sweetheart. He wants to be President and has complete formulas on how to improve our government. But I think you have to be very wealthy these days to be elected.

@1creekgirl Yes. Time flies so fast. That`s why parents must enjoy their kids while they are still young because when they get older. They might not be around anymore

Thanks, he's always loved Jesus. When he was about five, he asked the young man at the checkout in Walmart if he knew Jesus. The boy said he did and they had a short conversation about it. Later Nathan told me, "Some people know who Jesus is, but they don't love him."

They're very close. Even though we helped raise him, the family has always known if something happened to his dad (our son) that Tammy and her husband would take Nathan.

That’s sweet that Tammy was like a momma to Nathan. Although my parents were together my whole life, I was very close to my dad’s sister and called her my second momma.

He really has a loving family. I think he appreciates his family because of losing his mama.
