Sh*t. A friend of mine was just diagnosed with ALS.

I was sitting here feeling sorry for myself (not really) because my meta-boss at Guitar Center does not like me. Teaching at Guitar Center is fun, but I don't "need" that job.
Then I got an email from one of my softball teammates, letting us know that another teammate has been diagnosed with ALS, or Lou Gherig's disease.
ALS is an (as of now) un-curable degenerative disease that leaves one gasping for air as they die. A friend of a friend with ALS chose assisted suicide at the end of her life.
It makes my problems seem pretty trivial. A later Warren Zevon song that only @FourWalls would know is playing in my head right now. So is "ask not for whom the bell tolls..."
Anyway, please send your thoughts and prayers for my friend and teammate, Blue (as we call him).

Aw...sorry. Stephen Hawking lived for more than 50 years with it. Hope he can be optimistic about it. I came to know yesterday that our new neighbor has a daughter with cerebral palsy. I was going to ask you whether you have some faster recordings because she likes fast numbers.

Wow, I think that is probably one of the worse diagnoses you can have. So sorry for your friend. I will say a prayer.

Sorry to hear this and I agree getting such a diagnosis makes anything else certainly seem trivial, I will put him in my prayers.

I am so, so sorry to hear the news about Blue. Sending thoughts and prayers his way. I can't imagine getting a diagnosis such as that!
