Spring bird migration visitor - Gray Catbird

Not as colorful as most of my migratory flock, but more rare, is the Gray Catbird (and I keep wanting to use the correct spelling which to me should be 'grey' everywhere). This is only the second time I have ever seen one here. Checking my records, the last time was 2 years and 2 days ago - May 12, 2019. Scar says it is a grey bird bird and it doesn't look anything like a grey cat to him.

Scar is wise beyond his kingdom! I haven't seen one in many years. They did on occasion visit us when we lived in Indiana.

I've never seen one before. Pretty cool! Scar knows that colors don't matter when it comes to birdies.

You are good at this bird identification thing, but I would agree with Scar on this one.

I never see them here in western Oregon, but they hangout in northeastern Oregon.

Scar and Emoci would love to show that bird what real cats look like.

Another one that I don't see here. I wonder what makes it a "cat" bird . . . maybe it meows and chases squirrels .

"Gray has been the preferred American spelling since approximately 1825" according to most dictionaries.

We've had cat birds around here, I have no idea what color they are. They can change their voice! A nice picture
