Trying to catch a fly and surprise visit...

There is a big ass fly flying around. I tried to get it with a kitchen towel but so far no luck. That sucker is fast. It wasn't here before. Must have flew in when I opened the house door like 20 minutes ago or so. I wasn't expecting anyone and then the doorbell rang. I thought it must be someone trying to sell us something. I went downstairs and opened the door and was surprised to see my sister-in-law and my nephews. I knew they were visiting from Florida but I had no idea they were gonna stop by my house. Good thing I went and opened the door as usually I do not do that if I am not expecting anyone. It was nice to see them. I haven't seen them in person since the beginning of 2020.

How big of a fly are we talking about? That's nice that your sister-in-law visited and you got to meet your nephews after so long. I think that would have made you very happy.

I wasn't able to really look at it as it's too fast. It did. Sucks that my brother was not with them.

@Prabhatsingh The windows have screens so it won't be able to fly out.

Hope you kill the fly, but please do not swat the family.

Not sure what you mean by "swat the family". The fly's family or hubby?

I haven't seen it buzzing around for some time. Wonder where it went. We have three stories and a basement here. It can be anywhere.

That is a surprise. Our house occassionally will get the odd fly or two. Part of having a single story home in Florida, I guess and it being bug season.

Yes, it was, especially since I haven't seen them in a long time.

Nope. It hasn't flown by me for a while. Our house is three stories and a basement so it can be anywhere. Maybe it will appear when hubby gets home and he will be able to smack it.

That was a nice surprise; but I like it when someone calls before stopping by.

I wish they would've told me they were coming. I could've not gone downstairs to open the door.

@lovebuglena I don't like to open the door when I'm alone either.

Try catching it with a big cardboard.

I tried using a towel. That usually works but not this time.
