Dizzy, my head is spinning

I have been having some trouble with dizziness for a few days now. My husband and co workers wanted me to see a doctor.
My doctor is on maternity leave, so I will meet the person who is covering.
I talked to the nurse last night. Although I am not dizzy when sitting, she says not to drive until I have been seen.
She thinks it is likely it is a problem with my inner ear.
So, I have no energy, and did not make it back here last night. I hope I do better tomorrow. I will work half the day today.

Vertigo is a term for a type of dizziness and I have had it before. I think I will improve pretty easily but it does not hurt to get things checked.

I think rest is a good part of the cure. Thanks.

I am so sorry. I had some serious vertigo about twenty years ago. It was actually much worse than this. I hope it can improve for you.

@GardenGerty Thanks, that concussion has left me with memory issues.

My blood pressure is right near a nice average. I have had vertigo and it seems, in my memory, to be much worse than this.

@GardenGerty I’ve had varying stages of vertigo. It returns if I bend my head a certain way.

@DianneN See, that is happening to me, in certain positions, not all of the time.

I bope you'd seen a doctor. Best to see one so you will be given correct medicines.

I do not necessarily agree with what the doctor thinks, but I am doing what he says to see if it helps. No point in going and not taking his advice.

I really want to be reassured that it is not anything major wrong.

My blood pressure is fine. Yes, getting unexpectedly dizzy is very unpleasant. Makes me worry about falling.

My ex-wife and a neighbor across the street many years ago, had this condition called Meniere's Disease that causes dizziness like that. They were given meds and were helped.

What I read last night online was that Meniere's Disease happens for people younger than I am. I do have a friend that suffered with it. It is the pits.

We are taking some steps to help it and will go back in a month for a follow up.
