I love Crispy Sheets

I know most people like high thread count and very soft sheets. Not me, I love crispy sheets. That is what I grew up with and evidently, if you sleep hot, they are ideal. Once in a while, I can find Ralph Lauren percale sheets that are crispy but not often. Last night I decided to check who had them, I found some at JC Penneys but I didn't want to pay the $8.95 shipping. I ended up buying a set of gray ones from QVC. I was reading the comments on there and people were complaining that they wrinkled and are stiff!! lol Seriously, why would you buy crisp percale sheets and not know that this is just part of the deal. It convinced me that they are probably exactly what I am looking for. Right now I have a very pretty set of Rachel Ashwell sheets on my bed. The top sheet is so soft that it doesn't stay in place. They are very pretty but not what makes me happy. I only buy 100% cotton but getting the crispy is harder. What about you, do you have a preference? Sateen weave, microfiber, flannel?

I love high thread count and crispy sheets, too. I’m one of those who enjoy ironing my sheets. I love Frette and Sferra. It’s difficult getting extra deep pockets for our deep mattress.

I had to know! I always iron my sheets and I love them crispy too. Frette is Italian, I bought all my sheets there before getting married.

I just had a new set of light grey sheets delivered last month. I like 100% cotton also, crisp and cool to the skin is how they feel.

Portugal and France are the best places to get those sheets right now as there was a really good shop expensive but very good and they had to sell out. They are the best in summer for sure.

@BelleStarr Very difficult to get in this place you would have to go to Madrid or Barcelona knowing the shop already.

I think the crispy for me brings back memories of my childhood, we always ironed our sheets.

The only thing I used to look for in any kind of linens was quality. Our towels and sheets lasted forever. I now sleep in a recliner; so the sheets on the bed don't matter. :-)

@BelleStarr My husband sleeps in a recliner too; and he uses one of the sheets off the bed. I normally don't cover myself except when it's really cold.

@BelleStarr When we were students my housemate had black satin sheets, they were a present from her sister. If she jumped into bed she would slide out the other side!!

@BelleStarr My mother ironed a lot better than I ever did, but I do a pretty good job. When I have guests, I iron the tablecloth on the table to be sure that it is perfectly "flat".

@bellestarr I love getting in between freshly laundered, well-starched sheets that have been dried in the open air, preferably near lavender bushes on a windy day. And I like them to be cold.

I have a set of sheets from QVC (Northern Nights) that I got over 15 years ago and they're still going strong. I've been looking for new sheets recently and I'm really not fond of microfiber at all. I'm more like you and prefer a crispy sheet. Hope you like your sheets from QVC

I hadn't realised you could get soft sheets, apart from the flannelette type that are warm for winter. Otherwise, like you, I love crisp fresh sheets!
