I just am not sure

I am not sure how I am liking this new medicine the doctor has given me. I will take it for a month to see. What point to see a doctor if you are not going to do what he says.
I am not feeling well today. However that could be from stabbing my hand with a knife like I did. Today is the first I have taken the new medicine in the morning, as I did not want to take it then go to work.
So I messaged my friend and did not meet her for coffee.
My picture is of another iris from my friend Mary Ann. I love it. Hope you enjoy.
Several people have remarked that this is a good year for iris.

Sometimes it takes a while for your body to adjust to a new medication. Not knowing which one you are taking or which side effects you are experiencing, it's hard to say whether what you're going through will last a while or just a couple of days.
How long do you think you'll give it before you tell the doctor that it's just not for you?

I will take the full month, unless I have something major and serious come up. There are a lot of things going on, including weather, that could be making me feel off.

@spiderdust This year has been mentally and emotionally fatigueing. I believe I have had anxiety most of my life. Usually I manage okay.

@GardenGerty I hope it all levels out soon! A month is a long time to feel off.

I am muddle headed and my moods are swingy, but I took a muscle relaxer last night, and stabbed my hand this morning and the air is heavy and humid. All those can make me feel off.

@sallypup I had one prescription pain med that really made me goofy. I took a muscle relaxer two nights in a row this weekend and now the dizziness is gone. Maybe I just had tight muscles, who knows.

@GardenGerty That's just awful about your hand. I'm sorry. I swore off cough meds when I took some then got goony from the stuff and barely knew who one of my cats was. Enough. He relied on me to be clear headed.

Meds take time to show they are working. And, yes, stabbing your hand can contribute to how you feel.

Yes, it says it takes about a month to be effective and he wants to see me back in a month.

I hope you feel better quickly. It could be the meds making you feel off or it could just be "one of those days". It's hard to tell right away.
When the specialist first prescribed the thyroid meds for me, I felt fine... then he upped the dose and I didn't feel right but couldn't figure out what was wrong. It took about a month before we figured out he was giving me too much of the meds, so we dropped it back to the original dose. (He wasn't happy I dropped back but he wasn't the one living in my body so didn't get another vote in it.)
When I went in for another check-up he said I didn't have enough medication in my body. His nurse called a few days later and said I did. I don't think he's the best doctor so am glad he isn't my regular doctor.

That is part of why I sort of am concerned about the anti anxiety med. It is not my regular doctor. He did a good job of checking things out, though. Even felt of my thyroid. I am glad you are taking accountability for your body and how you feel.

@GardenGerty Something unexpected by the doctor did come from taking the thyroid meds. I'd been having what we thought were severe allergic reactions to almost everything for years. After I started taking the thyroid meds, almost all of the allergic reactions stopped... It's been so nice!

I think I am just ready for some change, and time away from the school. I also suspect my fibro is really flaring up this year.

That iris is lovely. Mine are not quite ready to bloom yet. (They're yellow.)

Change of medication make me feel same like change of doctors make me feel
horrible
It usually takes 7 days for me to adjust the change of medicine.
Don't worry with 2-3 days monitor yourself. If things not going the way you were expecting then take a follow-up with doctor.
Take care

It is supposed to take a month for this medicine to be effective. I am glad my change of doctors is only until July.
