An Illegal Act: Selling Vaccines

I had seen a series of conversations between a local person and an employee of the local government unit on Facebook. I was surprised that they are having an illegal transaction of buying some Pfizer vaccines. Guess what? Selling a dose will cause Php 15, 000 ($313.03) and if you are acquainted with each other, it will lower down to Php 12, 500 ($260.86). What's going on with these people? Do vaccines being sold in your country like this? Image Credit: dynaimage.cdn.cnn.com

@Shavkat The vaccines are enough to cover the requests to be vaccinated right now.

This should be reported. Of course, I'm not surprised. The biggest law breaker is the government. Think about it, all of the donated Pfizer vaccines are in Davao now. If that is not illegal then I do not know what is.

Because of greediness, this person is doing a wrong act. He might be whining and feel sorry if being caught.

I havent heard of it here. And even if I did, I wouldnt do it as they are free for us. Even if they were not free I would not trust through anything but the proper facilities.

I agree. I just cannot understand how are they going to do this. All I know, the vaccines are being monitored before they will be administered.

depends, how much is one sold for? if it is 15000 or more, the risk-reward is different. Risk and illegal are something that often go together!

If this keeps on going, I pity this government employee. Sooner or later, he will be caught by the authority. It is the worst thing that he did in his life.

That is really sad that other people are taking advantage by selling vaccines or vaccine slots that are supposed to be free from the government. I hope this would be stopped and they are caught and penalized for taking advantage of the situation.

@Shavkat That is what I heard but I guess he must be in hiding now that his modus has been exposed already. I think when it is leaked on media and media makes it a big story the perpetrators will be alarmed and will just go in hiding and the police will have a hard time tracking them. I just wished that they allowed the authorities to investigate and do necessary arrests before it is shown to the public.

I hope they will be caught off guard. I think the person is working in Mandaluyong and the buyer is not in this city.

It was being broadcasted before those people who are not on the priority list will buy them. At this point in time, it shouldn't be done.

No, but private company can pay for the vaccines if they want to speed up the process. But it's not to be sold to the public. It's for their employees.
