Homework

Homework . . . for me. I brought home pictures and a small blank book. We have been taking pictures of my client C--- for a couple of months. I put an emblem that looks like the Superman shield, only with a C in the middle of the cover. We have called the book The Adventures of C--------. Tomorrow is the last full day of school, so I need to finish it by putting pictures and comments in it today. So tomorrow is the last full day, then there will be a half day. Tuesday, the half day, the district is catering a meal for all employees at our Sports and Aquatic Center. Tuesday afternoon I will help clean up the classroom, and also will work some hours on Wednesday. Then it is summer break. Summer break is going to be a waiting time, in a way. We will have all new special ed. teachers next year, and some families are looking for different options for their kids. Some other staff is retiring. I hope to get a lot done at home. Yes, that is another kind of "homework".

I need to stay active. I hope to lessen the stress, though.

Enjoy your time off, rest up so you're nice and fresh for when school starts up again, whenever that is.

@MALUSE Things that you have to do pile up, until you have a little mountain of stuff to do... so you do them and turn it into a molehill...

How did the students adjust to all that time away from school, then back to school and now a shortened “in-school” school year?

Mostly they have been glad to be back. At first we had a ton of rules about not mixing classes etc. but the rules have been relaxed. All of us are looking forward to a more normal year next year.

I am pleased with how it came out. I "voiced" the comments from the student's perspective. It is cute.
