Manic Monday

I know it is a Tuesday already here in Manila so this post is a day late. Goes to show how much my Monday was manic. Started like any other day, by 11:00AM something went wrong with my work system. Not my fault but I had to report it. Reported it quite well complete with screen shots and narratives which were updated on the top of the hour. Apparently, someone was fiddling with the settings of the back office system that we were using which caused this error. Not fatal but it didn't allow me to work the rest of the day. Not sure if this will affect my pay but if it did and I don't end up getting paid for the day, I will be disappointed but not surprised. At the end of the day, IT found out it was a manager who changed the settings, as to who, I did not bother asking as that is above my paygrade. So by month's end I'll find out if I got away with more than a half-day of work without doing anything or if I'll be receiving my salary less that half-day. On to better things, still work related. I applied to a company a month or two ago and didn't hear a word from them. All of a sudden, I got a call from them. Not one, not two, but three calls. Apparently, they have been trying to reach me all this time but one of the recruitment specialist made an error in writing down my phone number in their database. Recruitment specialist has since resigned and the person who replaced previous recruitment specialist saw the error, rectified it, and then came back to the recruitment managers with my correct contact number. So, I had back to back to back phone interviews and I'm waiting for the final one to be scheduled. Third one, still work related. A former officemate of mien got into a new job and is looking for someone to join their team. My qualifications and experience fit to a T. Better yet, her manager is a former colleague of mine. They reached out and are finalizing details for a Zoom interview. Nothing too formal but something to discuss the job responsibilities and compensation package. I say, I'll go through both job interviews/offers and decide which is the one that makes sense for both the short-term and long-term. Anyway, here's Bangles' Manic Monday. Enjoy!
