Day 289 Promise 758 Revelation 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign forever and ever. 16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshiped God, 17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. 18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou should give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them who fear thy name, small and great; and should destroy them which destroy the earth. 19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunder, and an earthquake, and great hail. When judges in a court of law pass judgment on the accused, many people witness the proceedings hoping for the best judgment for the accused. When the judge passes the sentence there is a mixture of rejoicing and protest. When the seventh angel sounded, he rejoiced because Jesus, who was, and is, and is to come will reign forever and ever. Then the twenty-four elders fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God. John heard the angels rejoice because the judgment of the world began on all those who destroyed the earth. He also saw rewards given to prophets, saints, and all those who reverenced the name of Jesus. John also saw the temple opened and the Ark of the Covenant in the temple amid lightning, voices, thunder, earthquake, and hail. As Christians, you look forward to the day when Jesus will reward you for your faithfulness. You look forward to the day when God will judge all those who rejected Jesus and destroyed the earth with their hate. It will be a great day of judgment, a day when everyone will see the Ark of the Covenant in the temple, and all those who see it will worship Jesus who lives and reigns forever and ever. When judgment begins, will you receive a reward or will Jesus pass judgment against you? Will you praise Him along with the twenty-four elders who fell on their faces and worshiped Him, or will you stand in fear of the judgment to come? Let’s pray: Father, let me be counted faithful when Your judgment begins. Let me praise the name of Jesus as Your Son reigns in the temple. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. It seems that in Heaven, there is also hail and lightning taking place in God's temple. There is also rivers, and trees, bearing fruits too. It sounds like Heaven is fairly similar to Earth in this depiction of it too. This is the only place in the Bible that describes the Temple of God as being opened. Perhaps, it is usually closed then.
