Hubby went to get a new battery for our riding lawn mower. The plan was to get it to run, so we could load it into a trailer to find out why it would not engage the blade and cut. After putting the brand new battery in, guess what? The mower cuts. In between rain showers hubby got quite a bit done. Yay! That means hours saved all summer long.

That's great news. All the years living here on three acres and I've not bought a ride on mower. I do use a 5 horse power walk behind Weeder that cuts down thick stemmed messes but nothing bigger.

I managed without when we did not have one but there are parts that sometimes get neglected.

That is great. Both the mower at home and the one at church needed new batteries this year.

Congrats, nothing worse than having a lawn mower which doesn't work properly (like ours here ).

I just gave away three that did not work, to a guy who could fix them. Still have two push mowers plus the rider. I should be able to get the work done.
