Day 290 Promise 759 Revelation 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. One thing people request for more is peace. You see the request more at Christmas than any other time. You also hear people calling for peace, not war. There will come a day when peace will reign, when evil will be cast down, and all wars will cease. John observed the war in heaven when Michael and his angels fought against and prevailed against the dragon and his angels and they were cast from heaven. The dragon is Satan, the Devil, also known as Lucifer. John saw how Satan accused believers before God. However, believers overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. As Christians, you might sometimes believe you fight a losing battle. Yet John showed how perseverance wins and overcomes every obstacle Satan throws your way. You need to hold on to the promises of God which show He goes into battle and fights for you. He will cast down every obstacle in your way. God doesn’t listen to the accuser because the blood of Jesus Christ covers you. His Word is on your lips. Satan doesn’t stand a chance against the blood of Jesus or His Word. Are you facing an impossible situation? Remember, God is the God of the impossible. Does it look like all hope is lost? God is the God of the hopeless. Satan can’t do anything to you when you put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ. God will fight every battle. And He will win. You overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. How many times have you heard a moving testimony from believers who thought they were going under until they put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ? How many times have you heard testimonies about standing strong in faith when everything stood against them? Satan can’t stand against your testimony. It’s yours and it’s powerful because it shows the power of God to save when everything around you looks hopeless. Stand firm. Look to Jesus the author and finisher of your faith. He will always bring you through. Jesus fights for you. Satan can’t stand against Him. Let’s pray: Father, thank you for going to battle for me. Help me stand firm in my faith when the enemy comes in like a flood to destroy my life. Give me a testimony Satan can’t stand against. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
