Speaking of grace under pressure, I was able to handle my new students tonight. It is quite tiring because I need to impress them during the classes online. Luckily, two rude students turned to be tamed. After their classes with me, they were able to learn two magic words: thank you and please.
Can you describe a challenge for you?
How did you deal with it?
What kind of challenge do you expect in your future?

Challenge for me is something that one should win over - knowing the difficulty. Good to know that you were able to tame your students.

*sigh* There is a person I talk to on myLot... It's just terrible.
He... He lets me
tease him and he's always
nice about it.
I just don't know what to do anymore.
What do you think I should do about him?

I am glad they learned to say thank you and please. I still remember that those were the first words that were taught to my son when he was a small child. I also remember that those words „thank you“ and „please“ were what the German parents taught to there children.

I tutored before with my school's tutoring club. We tutored elementary kids for a while (on zoom). There was this one kid I was paired up with a few times who didn't want to do anything, so I had to coax him into opening his work, doing it, and allowing me to help. Though compared to unruly middle and high schoolers this is probably easy.

I need to buy more time.
Isn't that what you always tell me?
