I met my friend Jane around 7:30 for coffee. I wanted to give her some things to help her clean up her flooded house.
After I came home, hubby and I went to Newton, to get library cards because it is a nice library and closer than McPherson.
Then he got fuel and I bought a few groceries.
Right now I am warming up leftovers for lunch and then a nap is in order for hubs and maybe for me.
Today is a bit cooler than normal. Loving it though.

A bit cooler?!? It's 7°C here, and apparently only 4° in Toronto. Very windy and rainy, too. Just in time for your summer holidays.

It has been rather odd and off putting. Normally by this time we are around 80 F,(26 C) instead of 60F(16 C). That is, providing my math is correct.

You weren't impacted by the Tornado risks were you? I'd heard about those yesterday. Glad it's cooler. We are cooler here today, but still too hot for my liking.

No, not anywhere around us. Usually tornadoes happen when it is hot but our area was in a flash flood warning.

I remember from when I lived in Latvia my husband and I were fans of the libraries but sometimes it was a bother to go into the city by bus just to visit a library. Then we discovered a library that was small but nice to visit withing walking distance of our home in the suburbs and the times we went to the library we had a lovely walk on some country roads,

We decided to try Newton because we are there more often. The one walking distance here is not open very much. We do not have bus transit, but must drive ourselves. It would be nice to have a cozy library to walk to.

@kevbamboo I guess her house is low lying on the property and we have had some very heavy rains this week. She said water ran in under the doors.
