Is Cursive writing still taught in Elementary Schools in the US?

I want to know about writing in cursive in English. Is this still important in the United States? Do you use cursive in your daily life? How easy or hard is it for you to write in cursive?

I don't know about every state in the US, but cursive isn't being taught in North Carolina or South Carolina. I think it should be.

There is a link between good handwriting and good hand eye coordination. I think everyone should do cursive writing.
