Someone threw eggs at our house again!

They threw a rotten egg a few days back so i was not expecting another one so soon. There was a bit of thunder and lightning last night too, so i was confident nothing would happen. But at about 11 pm I heard a loud noise but i didn't go out since i everyone was asleep. This morning we found out it was three-four eggs thrown at the window. I am just glad it wasn't rotten this time. We called the town police and they said they would do a patrol at different hours in the evening starting tonight, so hopefully there would be no incidents. There were a bunch of kids who were really loud last night and we just let them be since it was a bit early. But tonight whenever it happens again I'd probably go out to take a video so at least I'd know their faces, since the culprit may be one of them. We just found out some of our neighbors had the same thing done to them, and some even worse, but they were too afraid to report it so they just let it be until it stopped. One of our neighbors said she had a strong hunch on who it is but won't tell us because she's afraid they might hurt her.
