Many of us like to read books and the conventional method of reading a book is to get hold of a physical book and read it and then either pass it on to someone or keep it in our library.
However, now a days many e-book readers are available, where you could read e-books. You do not need to retain the e-book copy even, you could return it (e-books are available on loan even). And in some cases you are required to buy the book on payment basis.
No doubt while reading an e-book on an e-book reader, you do not get feel of a real book or you just cannot flip the pages and you cannot get the smell of pages but otherwise it is very convenient to read an e-book. Given the choice, I prefer e-books to read on my e-book reading device.
How about you do you read e-books on e-book reading device or your smart phones? or you prefer to get hold of hard copy of a book and then read it?

It means that you have conveniently switched over from paper back books to e-books and now you find e-books convenient to read and you could even read them on your smartphone, as and when you like.
.
How much average time do you spend reading e-books?

@Shasha_ It is a good idea to read an e-book before going to sleep. It helps us in getting good sleep.

@dpk262006 I usually read e-books before I sleep. It's like half or one hour each night.

That is nice to know that you prefer e-books. Do you read e-books on your smart phone or on any e-book reader?

I have a hard time reading from my mobile. I like a hard book better.

I understand that you do not like reading an e-book on your smart phone, you find a physical book a better option.

@m_audrey6788 That is really great that you have a library around your home and you could go there and get a book. Long back we used to go to public libraries to borrow a book and after reading we used to return it. However, now a days we do not visit any library.

Yes, reading paper back books has its own charm and it cannot be compared with an e-book reader. If any opportunity arise and you feel like in future, I would suggest that you could try reading a book on an e-book reader and then you could decide which is better.

It is nice to hear that you have downloaded many free e-books and you read it on your tablet.
Reading physical books have its own charm. However, the only problem is of their storage. Once you have finished reading the book, you need space to store them, until and unless you have borrowed them.

@LadyDuck It is always good to read a book before going to sleep, it helps in getting good sleep.
It is great that you have plenty of space to store books and you do not need to worry on this account. You did the right thing by donating those books, which were not needed.

@dpk262006 I prefer to read a real paper book and I always do when I read in bed before sleeping.
We have plenty of storage space for our books. I have donated some boxes of those that were less interesting or we do not intend to read anymore.

Does it mean that you do not find time for 'reading' or you just do not want to read any book?

I never developed an affinity for reading. However, due to my disability, my only options would be an audio book or an e-book I could read with my screen reader or a bulit-in reader.

I understand that you have problems reading physical books. I understand that audio books are one of the best options for you to understand a story. E-books are also convenient for you to read, understandably.

It means that you did try to read an e-book but somehow you did not find it convenient. It means you are conventional and you love to read physical book.

@lovebuglena Yes, you are right that holding a book in our hand and smelling and flipping its pages has its own charm.

@dpk262006 Nothing compares to holding a real book in your hands, flipping its page, and that book smell.

It means that you love reading physical books and you did not have any chance to read an e-book. If you have a smart phone, you could download application(s) which serve as e-reader. Thereafter, you could download free e-books from some websites and then you could read them.

It is good to hear that you prefer to read e-books on your smart phone or ipad and you like it. Hard copy of a book has its own charm, if you feel like once in a while you could get hold of a physical book.

@meowch Yes, it would be better if you first start reading those books which are lying with you, before buying a new one.

@dpk262006 I’m thinking of buying a physical book but I have so many books on my collection. In fact I need to start reading them all.

Both. E-books are convenient and that is what I have more of right now and audiobooks as well. Though I found physical books less stressful to my eyes and nothing still beats the experience of holding a real book in my hands.

Yes, in terms of convenience e-books are more convenient and easy to carry and read. Audio books are also another convenient method to understand a story.
We have grown reading physical books, therefore our affinity to physical books will always remain.

I am sorry to say that but it's my personal choice I like the paper version mostly because you know it's very touching besides E-books.
I can easily connect with thought process of the concept

No need to feel sorry about your choice, it is fine if you like to read physical books. However, if you get a chance you could try to read an e-book and then you could see the difference between two modes of reading.
