Weekend Plans

Happy Friday Everyone! it's cloudy and overcast here today with possible thunderstorms. We were supposed to get some severe storms last night but it never happened. All we got all day was just drizzling rain. I'm not complaining. We needed the rain but don't need storms.
The weather for the weekend looks nice.
Good news for me....
The guy called to say he wants to come and do the deck on Saturday. We picked out the stain color we wanted so I'll be thrilled when the deck is finally finished. He has so many decks to do here in the community that I was happy that I'm getting mine done so fast.
Once the deck is done we can figure out if we want to get a new barbecue grill and new furniture or just deal with the old stuff for another summer.
Tomorrow my granddaughter is coming over to look through boxes of stuff I have for donation. Since she's moving into her new apartment she's looking for everything and whatever she doesn't have to buy is a bonus. Of course I don't know if she'll find much because kids these days have different tastes.
I remember when I first got married most of our new place was furnished with hand-me-downs.
As for today, it's the general house stuff. Definitely not exciting but necessary.
Right now I'm having my coffee and I see the clock ticking away. Another day that will probably fly by.

I'm glad you're getting your deck stained. It seems like you've waited a long time since they started working on it.
I hope she can find something useful in your box of donations.
I'm hibernating. It's going to be hot. My ceiling fans are on.

Its been weeks since the guy started the deck. I was afraid it wouldn't even get done this soon.

Cool, I wish I was getting my deck redone! I think my priority is to try to get another car, but the deck is definitely number 2. Not sure about weekend yet.

I'm going to be so happy when the deck is finished. My budget was blown on the deck and getting the driveway repaved last month.

Good that your deck is finished soon.
Agree that people have different tastes nowadays. i wouldn't mind hand me downs. Save me the money.

I know that you will be so relieved once that deck staining project is complete.
Maybe you will find some deals on grills after Father's Day.
I remember we did that once, and found a great grill at a wonderful price.
No plans for me for this weekend, probably just lying low to avoid going out in the heat.

Its supposed to be hot here too this weekend. I have some cold drinks on hand for when the guy comes to do the deck.
