Monkey grass is a low growing, easy care evergreen plant that is ideal for ground cover. Also called lily turf, monkey grass is easy to plant, survives drought, and is useful to decorate garden landscapes.
You can plant monkey grass as edging plants, perennial flowering border grass. Mine is used as a border in the from garden. And it blooms pretty purple blooms each year.
Monkey grass grows in full sun to complete shade, grows in various soil types, and requires little maintenance.
The grass gets cut back at the end of the season. And it returns the next spring. I have the variegated type and enjoy seeing it each year.
Photo is mine. First bloom for this year.

Do you have to supply your own monkeys, or do they grow with the grass?
That is a very pretty plant!

That's good.
But trust me, if it needs to be stolen, that tag is not gonna stop that from happening.

Lovely. If we ever get the front flower bed landscaped (it's now mostly weeds); I'd like to put in some bare root ground cover which will choke out the weeds.
