Spotify is of course a free to use, music streaming service where you can listen to music, create playlists, and listen to pretty much anywhere so long as you have an account.
I only recently started using it, and so far I really like it. I can use Bluetooth and stream my playlists in my truck, and the wife I have a Bluetooth speaker we use outside, and created a "yardwork" playlist we listen to from Spotify.
Do you use Spotify?

Yes, I love Spotify. I did upgrade to premium which is about ten bucks a month, I think. Can't remember why I did that exactly.

@porwest I didn't know your songs were on Spotify. I'll definitely look them up. Are they under your real name, not Pink Flamingoes?

@RebeccasFarm YouTube certainly has a wealth of content. I do prefer some of the features of Spotify, and of course I use YouTube and Spotify differently.

I’ve never used it nor do I have an account. Interesting that’s it’s free.

@porwest Good thing that it is free. Hard to find things these days that we can use for free.

No. The only music I listen to anymore is in the car radio when we go out and in my head. :-)

@LindaOHio I like a lot of the older music as well. 50s is not totally my thing, but I do like a lot of it. 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s are my fortes. A lot of the stuff 2000 and beyond is not particularly pleasing to my ear despite my wide range of musical tastes.

I used to be just a radio guy too. But no opportunity to discover, so I have always used online resources to find stuff they won't ever play on the radio. Besides, most new mainstream music today is total crap IMO.
And I say that having produced crap of my own. lol

Love Spotify! What a selection of music. Do a search and you have all the artist's albums to choose among. And you can drag the songs in the order you want, a liked songs category, daily mix just for me, and similar song suggestions to add to your playlists. What's not to like

@porwest I understand. For my musical tastes "Classic Rock" (60's, 70's, ) it has a great selection.

@dgobucks226 It does. So far I have no trouble finding things there. I am pretty sure if there is a song out there, it's on Spotify.

I thought they began charging so I never use it, no. I had an account years back but didn't realize it was free. Maybe I'll check that out one day.

@porwest It is different from Spotify in that you can't select exactly which song you want to hear. But you start out with a "channel" and can up-vote or down-vote songs so it "learns" what to play and what not to play. I've been using the Kenny Chesney Channel for years and it pretty much gets it spot on. I use the Jimmy Buffett Channel too but there are rock ones, decade ones, etc. My ex particularly likes the Irish Pub music channel.

That's great you can use it with bluetooth, didn't know that. I have used it for 10 years or longer though. I used to even pay for it so I could listen offline lol
