I've been off meat for several months for the most part. My stomach has been very sensitive that I couldn't even keep soft fruit down let alone beef, chicken, etc. Today I placed an Instacart order and needed to add a few more items so I requested a ham steak and a pound of ground beef. I haven't had that stuff in months. The ham steak will just be pan fried which is easy enough. The ground beef will probably be used to make a simple meat sauce for pasta. I'm still not up to spending lots of time on my feet making something more complicated. No promises that I will make both this week. I might wind up freezing one or the other to have next week. Still. . . ordering it and having it here on hand is a big step in the right direction.

I have never liked meat sauce. Lol. I used ground beef tonight to make taco bake. I use probably 15 pounds of ground beef a month.

I would rather have meatballs or lasagna but that is too much for me at this point. Meat sauce is much easier.

@thislittlepennyearns I know you don't like red sauce. I don't like pork in my meatballs, meatloaf, lasagna, etc. I stick to all ground beef.

@NJChicaa I do half pork half beef meatballs, and I do chicken lasagna if I do it. With white sauce.

It will help you start to get your electrolytes balanced and stabilized. I think you are smart to take it slowly.
