Gohmert should be shot to the moon and see what he can do from there.

@rebelann The only thing that's correct, is our moon effects the tides and some weather patterns. Trying to move it, could actually make the situation worse... as if we have the power to do so.

It does a lot of things that we still don't even know about and this idjit needs to get off his high horse, he's not God.

I never saw that either but I'd never want to mess with the planetary position of any moon or other celestial entity.

He can move to the moon and stay there . . . we don't need anymore stoopids here . I am having a conversation with someone here who says he was just being sarcastic . . . um, whether he really was or not, a congressman shouldn't be wasting time saying dumb things like that.

@rebelann Right. I can imagine them trying to use nuclear thingies to alter orbits to fix climate change . . . just great. Let's ruin the solar system and hey, the universe while we're at it . I hope someone can figure out a way to move the earth so all the stoopids fall off !

Lets just pray that none of our nuclear crap works in a lack of atmosphere. Fire needs oxygen and I would think so does most other explosives. Oh no, I pray they never figure out how to move our planet, it would kill everything I hold dear.

I agree with you. Some bozo scientist might actually be mad and try to do just that .... good grief, it's something I've seen in scenes of various science fiction shows. Next thing you know someone will come up with some idiotic idea to move earth as well. YIKES

I am developing a new understanding about people in the public eye, anything they say can be misconstrued and most of us rely on journalists to tell us what is going on and I pray they are not exaggerating anything for profit. I personally would not want to give a public speech, I would be afraid someone would put what I say in the wrong context.

I had to delete the former discussion because the video I added had the wrong ending and it would have been deleted by admin anyway. Thanks, she actually complied when I was getting ready to snap her picture, she's changing. Wait, you don't see a problem with moving the moon?

I pray they'll never figure out how to move planets or moons, that should stay in the SiFi movies and TV shows.

@rebelann Just the disruption of tides along is enough to say don't touch that dial!!! I suspect the disinformation about what is wrong right now, is so much easier to digest than the truth that we will get things like this over and over.

Oh, don't forget the context! He was asking if the Forest Service can shift the orbits of the moon or Earth. One of the shows my kids watch has a mayor who decided that sending the city's garbage to space in giant space dumpsters was a great idea. I thought that was a bit outlandish, but apparently it's not quite as far out there as it seemed at first glance.

@rebelann Oh, we're doing a great job of cluttering things up in orbit already. It really is ridiculous.

@rebelann I was back in San Antonio once about three years ago. I pretty much lived there until I was 15, then moved to California, I spent a lot of my summers in a little town west of Abilene called Merkel, where my dad lived.

He's a complete moron. Ralph Kramden, from the Honeymooners, should send him to the moon permanently.

With our luck he'd try to find a way to screw up the moons path around the earth. Of course he'd be dependent on someone sending him enough oxygen to breath so there's that

I do not see how that would be possible nor do I see how it would be possible to move a moon or planet.
