I'm Moving!!!!!!! I got approved for the apartment this morning. I've already met a woman in my building when I was out walking this morning. She's been there for two months. She still had boxes, which she gave me. We're already good friends, and she has a furbaby. A beautiful golden lab. She also has a cat, which I didn't see, thank goodness as I'm allergic to cats.
My son gave me boxes this morning and he'll give me more tonight. It's been a good day, even though I couldn't get to the Y this morning because I waited for my son. I still got all my steps. I passed 10K on my walk somewhere around 9 AM. I got my exercise at home this morning. So all is good in that area too.
I'm very excited. This is the first I could get here with everything going on here. I'll get these boxes packed up this weekend. I have two large ones perfect for clothes or bedding.
I'll be moving in September. I have a lot to do between now and then.

That looks like a very nice apartment complex. My other house's mortgage went down today so I am a happy camper. We'd switched the payment to another bank and yeah!! the payment came out without a hitch. That means that we do not owe a big fine from the first bank cause of there not being enough money in the account to cover the mortgage payment.

Perks - Community room, fitness center, can have pets, laundry room right across the hall from my apartment, and free cable. Larger apartments come with hookups for a stackable washer and dryer. There's also a lounge area on each of the three floors. Oh and elevators. One of the best perks, I can still walk the same trail I do every day.

The apartment won't be ready until then. The family needs to move everything out for the person who lived there. Also, I need to give a two-month notice for where I'm at. The other apartment is available next month but it doesn't give me time for the two-month notice. They're also going to put in new carpeting and linoleum and paint.

@just4him I see you will still have something from your grandmother so that is good. Maybe some of the family would want the organ. Or the church could maybe use it. Then you could still visit it. They do take a lot of room.

Thank you. I'll have pictures before, during, and after my move. I'm downsizing again as I'll be in a one-bedroom. In my mind's eye, I've already gotten rid of everything in the office. Well, except for the computer and the bookcases and one filing cabinet. I hate getting rid of the organ, but I have no choice. It was my grandparent's. I'm also getting rid of the drafting table. It's time. The table my computer is on will get folded up and put in a closet. I might find out if the church can use it. I'll also get rid of the narrow desk. Not wide enough for the computer. I can use a table or secretary for the computer. I have three tables. One belonged to my grandmother. The other belonged to my parents. I'm not getting rid of those.

Once I move in I'll take lots of pictures. The inside of the building I'm moving into is gorgeous. They have lounge areas on every floor. There are three floors. My friend is on the second. I'll be on the first.

@MommyOfEli2013 I don't need my winter clothes, and I can get the books and knickknacks packed in the living room and then move onto the kitchen. The more I get done now, the less I'll need to do later.

Yes, I am. Thank you. I'm so happy to get out of this place. I wouldn't even think of it if the management hadn't changed. Between the mail lady and the maintenance men telling me there is a large turnover here, I'm not surprised. My new home is going to be awesome. The person I've dealt with in the office and my new friend make it worth it and let me know God has this.
