This morning one of the rarest sightings (Tamsyn, my daughters dog, normally sleeps in.) Tamsyn got up and came upstairs to get a treat.
So all 4 dogs were presents.
It was of course expected that I would provide a treat.
I did, but I made them sit first!

And a dutiful slave that you are, you did provide the treat. Good boy. They’ll let you rub their bellies as a reward.

@DocAndersen — not really, I’ve just been owned by a four legged fur child before.

So cute. It's a good thing you had enough treats or there would have been a rebellion.

Four labs. You must really love labs. It's a lab-lab-lab-lab labour of love though, I guess.

@DocAndersen Yes, each passing will still cause you great pain though, to remember the good times, and make the times with them memorable, while we have them, is the best way to go, as I know that you are doing, too.

they certainly fit my definition of dogs. I am more of a big-dog personality anyway. Little yappy dogs and cats in general I am ok with, but not my favorite!

@innertalks i have had that experience three times in my life. the passing of a dog making me consider what I wanted or needed from a friend. Now there are four dogs in the house, so I have a much wider sample!
