They have their native origin in Africa and some parts of India. They are rich in proteins,fiber,they lower cholesterol levels among others. Can be made into snacks, vegetable oil and can be cooked with other foods such as plantains .
I love it so much especially the one prepared by pan roasting. Have you tasted it?

I don't think so. though their seeds are used in some buns.

I have. I've used the oil and paste in cooking and I've had many snacks made from sesame. I must try pan roasted sometime soon. It sounds very good.
