I have never been one to concentrate on the number. I think age is what you feel. Some days old some day young.

I am the youngest in my family. One of my sisters can still walk miles. I'm trying to get back to walking a half mile without thinking about back pain etc.

In the eyes of a seven year old, seventeen is old, while for a seventeen year old, fifty could be old while for a fifty year old, seventy is old! I am 71 and I do feel old now!

I don't think of it that way, 71 is how many years I've been on this earth but I still do the yard work I used to do only a little slower which is normal, at least I still have the strength to get most of the work I need to do done.

I still get up and go when I can. Years ago I was basically told by a doctor that I would never make it to collect social security. I proved him wrong.

I feel all the stupid things that I did in my youth some days and other days, I feel fit as a fiddle. The reminders of aging are sometimes subtle and sometimes blunt. My grandson was visiting and we were filling a pool. I took my shirt off and he said "Wow grampa, the skin on your back looks brand new!"

What a great grandson you have. I think for some of us mind the signs of aging more than others. A friend of mine was one of those people who became depressed when she turned 40, 50, 60...

No, I don’t feel as old as my age. For me, it is also just a number. I have a younger friend who’s 43 years old and has more pain in her body than me.
