A flower on a tree

I took this picture of a tree that has big purple flowers on it. I took a close up picture of one of the flowers on the tree. I do not know the name of the tree. I do not even know if it is a bush or a tree. If it a bush; it is a pretty good size bush.

That is a beautiful flower and interesting tree, Could it possibly be a flowering vine wrapped around the tree? Just a thought,

I have no idea if it could be a vine. The flower in the picture is only one of around 30 over the tree. all of the flowers look the same.

I can't tell if it's a bush or a tree from the photo, but the blooms look nice.
