Alex Trebek reflects on his life in this last writing before his passing last year. Each "chapter" is short, like little anecdotes, with lots of photographs sprinkled within the book. I enjoyed reading about the behind-the-scenes workings of Jeopardy! I was surprised to see how many shows he did before he landed at Jeopardy! I always wondered what he had on his podium during the show. I thought for sure it was a computer screen but there is a picture of the big sheet he uses to cross off every question/answer so that he doesn't repeat it. His last years are heart-wrenching. He goes into detail of all his struggles before he was diagnosed with cancer and during. They are also very inspirational. Alex Trebek was a strong man who realized that he had a good life and was not afraid of the end. He was also a very humble man who didn't think he was special in any way. He did not use his celebrity to benefit himself. He just wasn't like that. This is a good, easy, interesting, inspirational read.

I asked for the book for Christmas but it was sold out everywhere. My daughters got it for me for Mother's Day.
