Rooster In His Yard

My neighbor made it home from his one week vacation last night. He is already on his lawn mower. Good to see him safely back home. We talked for just a minute earlier. He said they had a great time. And we will talk more later. He has a lot to do to catch up. I made him promise to take it easy on his mower. He agreed. In the 90 degree temperatures, you can easily get a heat stroke. Snapped this photo of his rooster decoration on a tree in his yard. This was his late wife's. She collected these inside and outside. I remember this one well.

Did he keep all of his late wife's roosters after she passed? Or does this particular one in the photo have special meaning for him?

@CarolDM Yeah, it's probably better not to pry too much. He's probably still in healing mode. But it's nice that you talk to him when you can.

As far as I know he did. I have not been inside. She has many in the kitchen. This one she would keep outside by the pool. Not sure why he has it here. He has others in the yard as well. I don't ask a lot of questions. I have to pick the right time it seems.

It's too hot and anyone can get a heat stroke in this weather. Rooster is made beautifully. Actually the colour combination is fascinating.

He had open heart surgery a few years ago but seems really good for his age. He is 80 and is always doing something in the yard or at his pool.
