I Couldn’t Wait to Post This

Our granddaughter had her 13th birthday on Friday, June 11th, and we celebrated her special day at her house in New Jersey with her other grandparents and of course her mom, dad, and brother.
I couldn’t go empty handed, so hubs bought a special birthday card which we filled with cash. I found a small, pink, Gucci purse in my closet which was in pristine shape. Stuffed the card inside and voila! A gift that our granddaughter went berserk over!
Her other grammy gave her an adorable Louis Vuitton bag, brand new, and loaded with lots of little zipper pockets. She went berserk over that, too.
Her Bat Mitzvah gift the following day was the Mikimoto pearl necklace and a huge check for her bank account. We also gave our son a hefty check, as we’ve been doing since the day she was born, for her college fund. Her other grandparents did the check thing, as well. She went berserk over all that, too.
We are all happy grandparents and thrilled to spoil her rotten. She deserves all that and more. She’s our blessing.

She is a wonderful and beautiful girl a blessed to have such a wonderful family, I am glad it all went well and that is a very nice bag, Now she has two classy bags she can use, I am also glad she loved the pearl necklace when you posted about it I thought she would probably enjoy that,

@DianneN I thought she4 would enjoy them and she is lucky to have you start her off on real pearls, I remember that in my teens I could not get enough costume jewelry like earrings and long colorful pearl strands,

He wrote and delivered a hilarious speech about his position during this time. I gave him a little token gift, but his day will come, too, in less than two years. Thanks so much. She didn’t skate all last week, but I met the head coach and thanked him for all he has done for her.

It is wonderful she got just what she wanted. I hope she keeps everything safe, and is never a victim of crime while carrying it around.

@DianneN It's the world we live in. I am sure she doesn't just stay in her community though..at least she won't as she gets older.
