It isn't easy for everyone to adopt new things easily like for example one day you are going outside and do what you want, drink what you want and do almost everything how you want it and the next day the authorities tell you to stay home after a certain time like for example 7 Pm and whenever you go out wear a mask, maintain distance with others, wear face shield, etc.
I took the example of covid related protocol what I really like to know is are you fine with adopting changes quickly or take the time or you hate changes.
As for me I hate changes.

@Butterfingers we have our own way of adapting. Some can be slow and some slower but the important thing is that we are open to changes

I think, I adopt well. I like the clearance section of Walmart. One day I noticed it wasn't where it usually is for clothes. So I as usual, walked, window shopping, then saw big sign CLEARANCE. I hurriedly went to area! To my delight, found clothes for just $3!!

My thinking is what cannot cured has to be endured and so changes that are forced on us are there to stay

Well, change is the only constant thing. We all have been gradually changing and evolving, But this was a drastic and unpredicted one. And also an unwanted one. It was not easy to accept it and move on.

If you want to live adapt or die! You might not like it but sometimes you just have to man up and accept it not just for youself but for the safety of others!
