For the past three days we've been having daily storms. Thought it would clear out today. Hasn't. Looks like a second thunderstorm might hit us. Can't say I can complain. I'd been worried it'd be a dry summer. Hoping I'll douge a bullett tomorrow. Like I've the last few days.

I miss thunderstorms. I spent my first 30 in a state where severe storms were commonplace. Since I moved here, we've had less than ten thunderstorms in the last 30 years.

@Vikingswest1 I am like you, I actually miss having thunderstorms! During the spring, we usually have quite a few storms, but not this year.

@kobesbuddy My wife actually bought me a CD of thunderstorms. An hour's worth of awesome thunder. I haven't listened to it recently but maybe tonight I should put it on as I fall asleep.

In the summer and spring it's not unusal to get thunderstorms near-daily. Some years it'll be dry, and those are the days I hate.

We got two storms a couple nights in a row. We've been too dry since April! It seems good to see our soil moistened.

I agree with you on that, we don't want the ground getting too dry.

We've had more rain this year than for many years. It's strange how it all works out.

I'm not fond of thunderstorms as they can do so much damage but rain isn't bad. We've had a very rainy season here. We also had a thunderstorm here last night but haven't had many so I can't complain.

@kaylachan I can't sleep with any noise so rain or thunderstorms keep me awake.

I don't mind thunderstorms when I can be anywhere else. When I'm safe inside and sleeping is the best time for them.

During a rainy season in Florida it's not uncommon to get one thunderstorm a day, or like today, the threat of one.

In my corner of Daytona, I have not seen any rain. Could have used a downpour on Thursday early morning when the church on our corner across the street burnt down and the firefighters were having a hard time putting out the flames as the entire roof was burning but no rain and they worked long and hard,

@kaylachan I believe someone set fire to it, It was a lovely church but abandoned and they were thinking of demolishing it before the fires, The church was at the corner of Peninsula Avenue and Earl Street, I live on Earl at the end of the block, Here is the news.

Now a days, we can't expect the true weather, bad climate responsible to make weather conditions more worse and unpredictable

Everyone wants to blame climient change when in reality, weather doesn't exist to be understood. Humans are the ones who feel the need to understand everything.

I'm thankful they weren't that severe and didn't do much damage. The yard is loving it though.

Hope your weather is better now. We've been hot and humid here in Ga. Don't mind hot nearly as much as I mind humid.

That's the good thing about the rain. It'll knock down the humidity a peg or to making things a bit more barable for a couple of days after.

Ah, nature making sure you stocked up on water before the dry season hits. When I briefly lived in Fort Myers when May-June came around we had thunderstorms most every night. Guess those angels were bowling up a storm....and when the lightening streaked the sky, it meant someone got a strike!
